Crime and Violence Prevention Using Research Reports to Train State & Non State Actors on Local Content

Since 2016, Centre in collaboration with Kenya School of Government (KSG), United States International University-Africa (USIU-Africa) runs a county based crime and violence prevention rapid assessment surveys and thereafter develops a curriculum for undertaking a month-long training at KSG that brings together participants from state and non-state actors, academia on local content from the respective counties.

The crime and violence prevention training (CVPT) seeks to promote policy and public discourse on crime and violence prevention and safety in Kenya, to explore strategies, tools and methods of crime and violence prevention and to facilitate the emergence of a critical of multi-sector actors engaged in crime and violence prevention in Counties.The CVPT training series have been undertaken in Nakuru, Vihiga, Kwale, Bungoma, Mombasa, Isiolo, Kisumu and Narok Counties.
